And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
