And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
