The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
