The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
