The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which opens up with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
