▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
