Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
