The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
