And the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and called the meeting of the hereafter a lie, and whom We had given plenty to enjoy in this world's life, said: This is nothing but a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat from and drinking of what you drink. 33 And if you obey a mortal like yourselves, then most surely you will be losers: 34 Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth [once more]? 35 ۞ “How remote, (really) how remote is the promise you are given!” 36 There is nothing but our present life; we die, and we live, and we shall not be raised up. 37 He is but a man who hath fabricated against God a lie, and in him we are not going to be believers. 38 He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 39 [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." 40 The blast justly struck them and We reduced them to rubble. Away with such wicked people! 41 After them We produced other generations 42 No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it). 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Yet whenever its Messenger came to a nation they belied him, so We made them follow others, and We made them but as tales, so begone the nation who did not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest, 45 Towards Firaun and his court members – in response they were haughty, and they were in dominance. 46 They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!" 47 They called them liars and consequently were destroyed. 48 And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided. 49 And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water. 50
