1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 So leave thou them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on]. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 But if the truth were in accord with their own likes and dislikes, the heavens and the earth would surely have fallen into ruin, and all that lives in them [would long ago have perished]! Nay, [in this divine writ] We have conveyed unto them all that they ought to bear in mind: and from this their reminder they [heedlessly] turn away! 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
