The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 And by oath of the day when it shines 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 and believes in the finest, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 And denied the best matter, 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 And none hath with him any favour for reward, 19 seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, 20 And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. 21
Almighty God's Truth.
