Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17

True are the words of God the Almighty.
