O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and perverts, and the rumour-mongers of Madinah, do not desist even now, We shall rouse you against them, so they would not be able to live but a short time in the city with you. 60 Accursed, they would be seized wherever found, and slain mercilessly. 61 That was the Way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old, and you will not find any change in the Way of Allah. 62 (Muhammad), people ask you about the Day of Judgment. Say, "Only God has knowledge about it. Perhaps the Hour of Doom will soon come to pass." 63 God has rejected those who deny the truth and prepared for them a blazing Fire. 64 therein to abide beyond the count of time: no protector will they find, and none to bring them succour. 65 The Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger." 66 They shall say, 'Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and great ones, and they led us astray from the way. 67 O our Sustainer! Give them double suffering, and banish them utterly from Thy grace!" 68
