The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
