(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
