We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the trumpet is blown. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
