The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 has created man, 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
