Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 and ease my task for me. 26 and my tongue fluent 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember you often. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 Saying! cast him in the ark, and cast him into the river, and the river will throw him on the bank, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him up. And I cast on thee love from Me in order that thou mayest be formed under Mine eye. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
