The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky containing great stars 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
