Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
