HALLOWED is He who has set up in the skies great constellations, and has placed among them a [radiant] lamp and a light-giving moon. 61 And He it is who causes the night and the day to succeed one another, [revealing Himself in His works] unto him who has the will to take thought - that is has the will to be grateful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 who pass the night prostrating and standing to their Lord. 64 Who say: 'Our Lord, turn from us the punishment of Gehenna, for its punishment is the most terrible; 65 It is a terrible abode and an evil station," 66 who when they spend are neither wasteful nor miserly, between that is a just stand, 67 who do not call upon another god with Allah, nor slay the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right; who do not fornicate, for he who does this shall face punishment 68 (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,- 69 Except those who repent and come to believe and do the right, for whom God will turn evil into goodness, for God is forgiving and kind. 70 And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion;- 71 And those who bear not false witness and, when they pass by idle talk, pass by with dignity; 72 and who when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, they do not fall down deaf and blind. 73 who say, "Lord, grant us joy in our wives and children and make us a model for the righteous." 74 These shall be rewarded with high places because they were patient, and shall be met therein with greetings and salutations. 75 They will live therein forever, the best abode and place of rest. 76 Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" 77
