In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Allah has destroyed the deeds of those who disbelieved and prevented from Allah’s way. 1 As for those who attained to faith and did righteous works and believed in what was revealed to Muhammad -- which indeed is the Truth from their Lord -- Allah has remitted their evil deeds and has set their condition right. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Even so God strikes their similitudes for men. 3 So when you confront the disbelievers, strike at their necks; until when you have slain them in plenty, tie them up firmly; then after that, you may either release them as a favour or take ransom, until the war lays down its ordeal; this is it; and had Allah willed He Himself could have taken revenge from them, but this is to test some of you with others; and Allah will surely never waste the deeds of those who were killed in His way. 4 God will lead them to everlasting happiness and improve their condition. 5 And cause them to enter the garden which He has made known to them. 6 Believers! If you succour God, He will succour you and make your footsteps firm. 7 But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds. 8 That is so as they were averse to what has been revealed by God, and their actions will be nullified. 9 ۞ Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who had gone before them? Allah destroyed them! Likewise it is for the unbelievers, 10 That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector. 11
