The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
