It is He who gave you ears, eyes and hearts, yet how seldom you are grateful! 78 And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. 79 And He it is Who gives life and causes death, and (in) His (control) is the alternation of the night and the day; do you not then understand? 80 But nay, they speak as the people of olden times did speak: 81 They say, "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!" 83 Say: 'Whose is the earth, and whoso is in it, if you have knowledge?' 84 Thereupon they will say, “To Allah”; proclaim, “Therefore why do you not ponder?” 85 Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty dominion? 86 They will say, "They belong to God." Say, "So do you not fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?" 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
