The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
