And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 [inflicted on them] by Pharaoh, seeing that he was truly outstanding among those who waste their own selves; 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
