Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know what you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
