The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
