The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
