And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
