We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
