Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
