And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority 96 to Pharaoh and his nobles. But they obeyed the command of Pharaoh even though Pharaoh's command was not rightly-directed. 97 He will go ahead of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and will lead them into the Fire, and evil indeed is the place to which they are led. 98 And they are overtaken by curse in this (world), and on the resurrection day, evil the gift which shall be given. 99 That is of the tidings of the cities We relate to thee; some of them are standing and some stubble. 100 We did not wrong them, rather, they wronged themselves. Their gods that they called upon, other than Allah, did not help them when your Lord's command came; they did not increase them except in their destruction. 101 Such is the punishment of your Lord when He seizes the towns in the midst of their sins: His punishing grip is terrible and severe. 102 In this there is, certainly, a lesson for those who fear the torment of the next life in which all people will be gathered together 103 Nor shall We delay it but for a term appointed. 104 On the day when it cometh no soul will speak except by His permission; some among them will be wretched, (others) glad. 105 Those who are wretched shall be in the Fire: There will be for them therein (nothing but) the heaving of sighs and sobs: 106 therein to abide as long as the heavens and the earth endure - unless thy Sustainer wills it otherwise: for, verily, thy Sustainer is a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 107 ۞ And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break. 108 AND SO, [O Prophet,] be not in doubt about anything that those [misguided people] worship: they but [thoughtlessly] worship as their forefathers worshipped aforetime; and behold, We shall most certainly give them their full due [for whatever good or evil they have earned,] without diminishing aught thereof. 109
