VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 And We have removed any resentments which were in their breasts – they are brothers, sitting face to face on thrones. 47 No fatigue will touch them nor will they be expelled therefrom." 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I - I alone - am truly forgiving, a true dispenser of grace; 49 And that My Torment is indeed the most painful torment. 50 And tell them of Abraham's guests, 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 They said: we bear tidings of a truth; be then thou not of the desponding. 55 He said: And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord but the erring ones? 56 [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 57 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 58 barring Lot's household, all of whom, behold, we shall save 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60
