And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 About what they used to do. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
