Do not kill your children because you fear poverty. We will provide for you and them. Killing them is a great sin. 31 And do not commit adultery - for, behold, it is an abomination and an evil way. 32 (ix) Do not kill any person whom Allah has forbidden to kill, except with right. We have granted the heir of him who has been wrongfully killed the authority to (claim retribution); so let him not exceed in slaying. He shall be helped. 33 And draw not near to the property of the orphan except in a goodly way till he attains his maturity and fulfill the promise; surely (every) promise shall be questioned about. 34 (xii) Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with even scales. That is fair and better in consequence. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; the ears, eyes, and hearts will all be held responsible for their deeds. 36 And do not go about in the land exultingly, for you cannot cut through the earth nor reach the mountains in height. 37 All the bad aspects of these (the above mentioned things) are hateful to your Lord. 38 That is part of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. So do not set up any deity beside Allah lest you are cast into Hell, rebuked and deprived of every good. 39 Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying. 40
