We have explained (things) in various (ways) in this Qur'an, in order that they may receive admonition, but it only increases their flight (from the Truth)! 41 Say: 'If there had been other gods with Him, as they say, they would surely have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne' 42 Glory be to Him! Exalted above all that they say! 43 The seven heavens and the earth and all those in them say His Purity; and there is not a thing that does not proclaim His purity with praise, but you do not understand their proclamation of purity; indeed He is Most Forbearing, Oft Forgiving. 44 When you recite the Qur'an, We place a hidden veil between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter; 45 And We have put coverings over their hearts lest, they should understand it (the Quran), and in their ears deafness. And when you make mention of your Lord Alone [La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) Islamic Monotheism] in the Quran, they turn on their backs, fleeing in extreme dislikeness. 46 We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee; and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched!" 47 Behold, how they strike similitudes for thee, and go astray, and cannot find a way! 48 'What' they say. 'When we are (turned to) bones and broken bits, shall we be raised again in a new creation' 49 Say: 'Let you be stones or iron, 50 ۞ “Or some other creation which you deem great”; so they will now say, “Who will create us again?”; proclaim, “He Who created you for the first time”; so now they will mockingly shake their heads at you, and question, “When is this going to occur?”; say, “It could perhaps be soon.” 51 “The day when He will call you and you will come praising Him, thinking you have stayed only a little.” 52
