T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
