The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
