3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
