The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A multitude of those of old 13 and a few from later times. 14 On lined couches, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and amid the extended shade 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 And made them virgins. 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
