Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
