Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
