[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 It is He Who gives life and causes death, and He holds mastery over the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand this? 80 No, but they said what the ancients said before them: 81 They say, "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Ask them: "Whose is the earth and those who are in it? Tell us if you know" 84 They will say: Allah's. Say: Will you not then mind? 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and of the Great Throne' 86 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “So why do you not fear?” 87 Say thou: in whose hands is the governance of everything, and who sheltereth but from whom none is sheltered, if ye know? 88 They will surely say: "(The dominion over all things) belongs to Allah." Say: "Whence are you then deluded?" 89 We have revealed to them the truth. But they are certainly liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 Knower of the unseen and the seen, Exalted is He above that which they associate! 92
