Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 then do not place me, Lord, with the wrongdoers." 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Dispel evil with what is good. We know well what they attribute (to Us). 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 "Are you not those to whom My revelations were recited, and you dubbed them as lies?" 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They shall say, 'We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!' 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 And (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) say, “My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of all the Merciful. 118
