The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 surely, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
