1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Are we then not to die 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
