Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
