Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 and those who give to others what has been bestowed upon them with their hearts trembling at the thought that they must return to their Lord; 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
