The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 and a few from later times. 14 On lined couches, 15 facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and banana trees, 29 and shade extended, 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
